Das Projekt Sinfonia wurde gemäß der Finanzhilfe-
vereinbarung Nr. 609019 im Zuge des 7. Rahmen-
programms der EU für Forschung, technologische
Entwicklung Demonstration gefördert.

CO
2
-Ausstoß in den Städten gefährden
unsere Gesundheit, unser Klima, unseren
Wirtschafts- und Lebensraum und unsere
Lebensqualität. Daher wird in Innsbruck und
Bozen bei anstehenden Sanierungsarbeiten in
die Optimierung von Wärme- und Kältenet-
zen, in die hochwertige und kosteneffiziente
Sanierung von Wohngebäuden sowie in
den Aufbau von Smart Grids investiert. Bis
2018 werden so in Teilen der beiden Städte –
sogenannten „Smart Districts“ – der Energie-
bedarf um 50 Prozent und der CO
2
-Ausstoß
um 20 Prozent gesenkt und der Anteil der
erneuerbaren Energie am Gesamtbedarf um
30 Prozent gesteigert, analog den TIROL 2050
Zielen. Die Ziele und Maßnahmen hinter dem
zukunftsweisenden Stadtsanierungsmodell
werden unter dem Projektnamen Sinfonia
von der Europäischen Kommission mit bis
zu 27,5 Millionen Euro gefördert und für
fünf weitere europäische Städte – Rosenheim
(D), La Rochelle (F), Sevilla (ES), Paphos (CY)
und Boras (SE) adaptiert und zur Umsetzung
vorbereitet. Innsbruck und Bozen werden so
zu europaweiten Pionierregionen für „Smart
Cities & Communities“.
Increasing final energy consumption and CO
2
emissions in the cities jeopardise our health,
our climate, our economic and living space
and our quality of life. Therefore, for upco-
ming renovations in Innsbruck and Bozen
investments are made in the optimisation of
heating and cooling networks, in high quality
and cost-efficient renovations of residential
buildings, and in the development of smart
grids. Until 2018 in parts of both cities – the
so-called smart districts – the energy demand
will have decreased by 50 percent and the CO
2
emissions by 20 percent, whereas the share of
renewable energy in net energy consumption
will have increased by 30 percent correspon-
ding to the TIROL 2050 guidelines. The goals
and measures of this trendsetting city reno-
vation model with project name Sinfonia, are
funded by the European Commission with up
to 27,5 million Euro and five European cities
– Rosenheim (D), La Rochelle (F), Sevilla (ES),
Paphos (CY) und Boras (SE) – are preparing
to adopt them. Innsbruck and Bozen are set
to become pan-European pioneer regions for
smart cities & communities.
