Oroboros Instruments was founded with the aim of producing innovative laboratory equipment to study mitochondria status. Ever since then, Oroboros has continuously improved its technology, and as of today, the Oroboros Oxygraph-O2k (an instrument that allows studying mitochondrial respiration with high precision) is considered the gold standard in mitochondrial respirometry, being used in 49 countries worldwide. Thanks to this technology, crucial new insights have been obtained in bioenergetics, mitochondrial physiology, and diagnosis of mitochondrial pathologies, as reported in over 2,300 scientific publications.
