Medical and health tourism applications

With its high-level expertise in tourism and its superb healthcare infrastructure, Tyrol offers excellent opportunities for strengthening the links between healthcare, medicine and tourism.

The region fosters the development of new products, services and business models, as well as the creation of value and innovation. Therefore, together with the cluster members, we are currently analysing the health and medical tourism potential for Tyrol, taking into particular account private healthcare facilities. Furthermore, work is underway to create a showcase project for health tourism/medical tourism involving the Wellness cluster. Support is being given to product developments based on the strengths of the cluster partners, and the clusters involved are being integrated into international networks and collaborations in the field of health tourism/medical tourism in order to learn from and with other regions.
