Der Cluster wird aus Mitteln des Landes Tirol
und des Europäischen Fonds für Regionale
Entwicklung (EFRE) finanziert.
The Cluster is financed by the Region of the
Tirol and the European Regional Develop-
ment Fund (ERDF).
Mechatronik ist Innovationstreiber für zahlreiche
Industrien weltweit, da nicht nur mechatroni-
sche Produkte selbst, sondern Herstellungs-
prozesse und Verfahren vieler Produkte der
Konsumgüterindustrie von mechatronischen
Systemen durchgeführt werden. So spielt auch
das breite Produktspektrum der Medizintechnik
im Cluster Mechatronik, etwa in den Schlüssel-
technologien Mikrosystemtechnologie, Nano-
technologie, den Optischen Technologien und
Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie,
eine wichtige Rolle.
Knapp über 80 Unternehmen, Institutionen und
Hochschulen nutzen den Cluster Mechatronik
der Standortagentur Tirol als Innovations- und
Kooperationsplattform, um Synergien zu nutzen
und so Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Wertschöp-
fung zu steigern. Sie profitieren zum einen von
den umfassenden Basisdienstleistungen des
Clusters rund um die Bereiche Kooperieren,
Qualifizieren, Informieren, Internationalisieren
und Vermarkten. Zum anderen werden durch
thematische Schwerpunktsetzungen in der Clus-
terarbeit aktiv Themen vorangetrieben, künftige
ökonomische, ökologische und soziale Heraus-
forderungen angepackt und Zukunftsmärkte
erschlossen.
Der Cluster Mechatronik Tirol ist auch internati-
onal bestens vernetzt. Dieser Branchenkatalog
zeigt sehr gut das im Interreg Projekt „Inter-
Tech“ verfolgte Ziel, die unternehmerischen und
institutionellen Innovationstätigkeiten in den
Regionen Tirol, Südtirol, Trentino und Veneto
durch kooperative Aktivitäten zu vernetzen und
optimal zu unterstützen.
The mechatronics sector is a driver of innovation
for numerous industries all over the world, since
not only is the branch engaged in the develop-
ment and manufacture of mechatronic products
themselves, but the production processes and
procedures involved in the manufacturing of
many consumer goods are carried out by mecha-
tronic systems. The wide spectrum of medical
technology products also plays a major role in
the mechatronics cluster, for example in key
technologies such as microsystems technology,
nanotechnology, optical technologies and infor-
mation and communication technology.
Just over 80 companies, institutions and
universities make use of the Standortagentur
Tirol Mechatronics Cluster as an innovation and
cooperation platform which allows them to
utilise common synergies and, thus, boost their
competitive ability and yield greater value. They
benefit, on the one hand, from the comprehen-
sive basic services of the cluster with regard to
cooperation, qualification, information, interna-
tionalisation and marketing. On the other hand,
the platform enables the companies, institutions
and universities to proactively develop and
advance issues relative to the thematic focus of
the cluster, to tackle future economic, ecological
and social challenges and to tap into emerging
markets.
The Cluster Mechatronics Tyrol is also optimally
networked on an international level. This branch
catalogue offers an excellent illustration of
the objective pursued by the Interreg project
“InterTech”, that is of networking the entrepre-
neurial and institutional innovative efforts in
the regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino
through cooperative activities and offering
optimal support.
